1. About us
This website and the services described on it are operated by Back Garden & Beyond, a Hampshire-based supplier and installer of fencing, screening, decking, gates and garden structures.
Contact: luke@backgardenandbeyond.com · 07706 350563.
2. Using this website
By accessing or using this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
We may update the site, its content or these terms at any time. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
3. Product information
We take care to describe our products accurately, but colours, finishes and dimensions shown on screen are indicative only. Natural timber products in particular will vary in grain, colour and knots.
Minor variations that don’t affect the function or overall appearance of the product are not considered defects.
4. Orders & pricing
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery, installation, excavation and disposal costs, if any, are shown at checkout or detailed in your quote.
Placing an order through the website or accepting a written quote is an offer to buy. A contract is only formed once we have received full payment (or an agreed deposit) and issued an order or booking confirmation.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order — for example where stock is unavailable, pricing is incorrect, or the delivery address is outside our service area. In those cases any payment taken will be refunded in full.
5. Delivery (supply only)
Supply-only deliveries may arrive at any time between 9am and 4pm on the scheduled day. It is your responsibility to make sure someone is available to receive, check and sign for the order.
Please inspect goods on arrival and report any visible damage or shortages within a reasonable time so we can put things right.
6. Payment
Payment is processed securely through Stripe, PayPal and Klarna, and is taken at the point of order unless a specific finance or deposit arrangement has been agreed.
Card and bank details are entered directly into the secure checkout of the provider you choose and are never stored on our website.
7. Supply of services (installation)
Where your order includes installation, the following applies in addition to the supply terms above.
7.1 Scheduling & arrival
Installation dates are mutually agreed in advance. Our team typically arrives on site between 8am and 10am on the scheduled day.
7.2 Site preparation & access
You are responsible for clearing the fence line of existing fences, panels, bushes, debris and other obstructions before we arrive, unless disposal has been added to your order.
You must provide safe, reasonable pedestrian access to the work area and, where possible, a nearby place to offload materials.
7.3 Concealed services
It is your responsibility to tell us in writing about any underground pipes, cables, drains or other concealed services within the installation area. We cannot be held liable for damage to services we were not made aware of.
7.4 Excavation, disposal & extras
Excavation and disposal are charged separately and may be quoted on site if the scope can’t be confirmed in advance. Any additional work identified during installation (for example unexpected ground conditions or rotten fixings on neighbouring structures) will be discussed and priced with you before it’s carried out.
7.5 Weather & safety
We reserve the right to pause or reschedule installation where weather, ground conditions or site safety make continuing unsafe or likely to compromise the quality of the finished work. We’ll always agree the next workable date with you.
7.6 Completion & sign-off
On completion we’ll walk you through the finished work so anything you’re not happy with can be addressed there and then. Any concerns raised after sign-off will be dealt with under the warranty section below.
8. Cancellations & returns
Returns, refunds and replacements are handled under our Refund & Returns Policy.
In summary: returns are accepted within 30 days in unused condition and original packaging. Installed products are not eligible for refund, and dispatched-but-not-installed orders may be subject to a 30% handling fee.
9. Warranty & defects
If a product is defective or damaged on arrival, contact us as soon as possible with photos and order details so we can arrange a replacement or refund.
Natural weathering, ordinary wear, damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance or third-party alteration, and fair movement in timber products, are not covered.
10. Your responsibilities
By placing an order you confirm that the information you provide — measurements, address, site conditions, heights and any special requirements — is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Where applicable, you are responsible for obtaining any permissions required before we supply or install — for example from neighbours sharing a boundary, landlords, freeholders, management companies, or local planning authorities.
11. Intellectual property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos and layouts — is owned by Back Garden & Beyond or used with permission.
You may not copy, redistribute or commercially reuse any part of this site without our written consent.
12. Liability
We take care to provide accurate information and a reliable service, but to the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or our products and services.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
13. Events outside our control
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where that failure or delay is caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, flooding, fire, supplier failure, strikes or government restrictions. In those cases we’ll contact you to agree a new date or, where appropriate, a fair adjustment to the order.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
